Tourist map of Poland

The maps available on the service are primarily intended for planning cycling, hiking, and running trips, but they will be useful for anyone heading outdoors. The goal of the service is to support route planning based on different map layers. The completed route can be downloaded as a GPX file.

Thematic layers available on the service

(The coverage of the maps is defined by the province symbol (e.g., [KP] - Kuyavian-Pomeranian) or Poland [PL])

On the maps, we present data including:

  • hiking and cycling trails from the OpenStreetMap project (coverage of Poland)
  • hiking and cycling trails from the wirtualneszlaki.pl project (central and northern Poland)
  • detailed terrain shading from ISOK via Geoportal (Poland)
  • forest section numbers [KP]
  • physical map and slope map in 20m resolution (Poland)
  • protected areas (national parks, landscape parks, reserves - Poland)
  • areas from the "Camp in the Forest" project by State Forests (Poland)
  • various backgrounds - topographic maps and satellite images (world)

Some of the layers are available for the entire country of Poland (or even worldwide), but we also systematically provide specific data for individual regions.

Thematic and administrative maps of Poland

The service offers a range of thematic maps that present various geographical and natural aspects of Poland. Each map provides unique information, making it easier to explore both natural and administrative features of the country. Thanks to the thematic categorization, users can easily find the layers they are interested in.

Frequently Asked Questions

General

What is a tourist map?

According to the definition, a tourist map is one of the types of thematic, socio-economic maps, primarily intended for tourists. They usually consist of two layers: a topographic base and a tourist-recreational (thematic) layer. The main purpose of tourist maps is to facilitate the planning and carrying out of trips, excursions, as well as sports and recreational activities.

How can I customize an automatically plotted route?

After saving the route as a GPX file, it can then be loaded  and edited even outside the network of trails. Once editing is complete, the updated route can be downloaded again

How can I disable ads on the page?

The appropriate function is located in the top left menu

How many points do the generated GPX files have?

Tracks, regardless of their length, have 600 points. In the menu, this limit can be turned off. However, it should be used with caution, as very long routes may cause performance issues and difficulties with handling such files on some GPS receivers.

How to display the layer and link to Street View?

The appropriate layer is available in the map menu. By right-clicking on the map, an option appears to open the SV view at that location (image)

Tourist maps of Polish regions

Most of the thematic layers are available for the whole of Poland. For some regions, additional layers are also available. To make them more accessible, we have created dedicated subpages for these regions.
